11 years in a row Vilnius invites you to elect the most hospitable business
From May to September, the capital traditionally elects the most hospitable service providers – the residents of Vilnius and guests of the capital vote for the most guest- friendly cafe, restaurant, museum, Vilnius dweller in the contest “Vilnius Hospitality”.
“Everyone coming to Vilnius notices how hospitable and friendly locals are. I am glad that the residents of Vilnius feel the owners and ambassadors of their city – they are eager to share with the city’s guests advice about local favorite cafes, cozy squares and parks, the most colorful events and interesting art galleries “, said Vilnius Mayor, Remigijus Šimašius, about the 11th annual competition.
Innovation in the competition – this year’s nomination – “The most hospitable place –for a cup of coffee”. This nomination aims to reward the exceptionally hospitable, most popular place in Vilnius, which you would recommend to visit for a cup of coffee. The possible nominees: cafes, bars, small cafes, pubs, bakeries or other places that attract a considerable number of Vilnius residents and guests.
“It is incredible that we can enjoy the spirit of hospitality in the capital for the 11th year in a row – and I invite everyone again to vote and to elect the most hospitable places in the capital, which, with the smile and the good mood, welcomes both by locals and guests from abroad,” – The performer Jurgis Didžiulis who was elected the most hospitable city dweller last year is inviting us all to participate in the election.
The locals and city guests can vote for the most hospitable places and people in the capital on the website www.vilniaussvetingumas.lt until the end of September. During the competition, the most hospitable hotels, airbnb community members, restaurants, cafes, bars, museums, galleries or guides offering tours in Vilnius will be selected. Website visitors will also be able to give their votes to the most hospitable staff of accommodation and catering businesses, the most hospitable place to visit, the most hospitable place for a cup of coffee, the discovery of the year, and the most welcoming local.
Vilnius most hospitable businesses will be revealed in November. During the awards ceremony 11 nominations for the best-rated places and employees in the opinion of locals and city guests will be awarded. The traditional contest encourages hotels, guest houses, restaurants, cafes, bars, museums, galleries and guides to make every effort to improve the quality of services provided, to create a friendly and welcoming city.
Last year the awards went to: hotel „Artagonist“, restaurant „Ertlio namas“, Centre for Civil Education, music club „Tamsta“, „Telia Nemuziejus“, JSC „Užupio namas“, the most hospitable guide in Vilnius Gabija Lunevičiūtė, the most hospitable employee representing a catering company – Skaidrė Kirkaitė –Leonova (cafe Coffee1), the most hospitable employee representing an accommodation company – Silvija Šimoliūnaitė (hotel „Amberton“), the most hospitable airbnb – Rasa ir Marius Dabrišiai, the most hospitable resident of Vilnius – Jurgis Didžiulis.
