Vilnius has started vaccinating against COVID-19 without registration

Vilnius continues vaccination with first vaccine doses without any registration at the Litexpo (Laisvės pr. 5) vaccination center. Today, on the 21st of June, residents will be able to choose vaccines of two manufacturers – Pfizer -BioNTech or Moderna. Starting Tuesday, Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine only will be offered. This week, Vilnius received 21 000 doses of this vaccine.

Those, who want to get vaccinated without registration this week, are invited to come to the Litexpo vaccination center every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vaccination without registration will continue for as long as there are available vaccines therefor.

People arriving for vaccination without registration must have their identity document with them. Due to the exhausting heat currently prevailing in Lithuania, residents are recommended to bring a bottle of water when coming to the vaccination center.

Today, on the 21st of June, residents will be able to get Janssen (manufacturer – Janssen Pharmaceutica NV) vaccine in Naujoji Vilnia. There will be a special city municipality bus waiting for those, who want to get a vaccine, at the Lidl store, where residents will be able to get vaccinated without registration.

The municipality bus marked with a special Vilnius sign will welcome residents of Naujoji Vilnia and other neighbourhoods of the city near the Lidl store located at Skydo g. 40. People will be invited to get in a live line, and no registration will be necessary for getting a vaccine. The plan is to provide the opportunity for 500 people to be vaccinated here. People coming for a vaccine must have their identity document.
