Important information
You can now apply for compensation for home heating costs
Residents of Vilnius can now apply for compensation for home heating costs. If you apply one month before or after the start of the heating season, or during the heating season, you will be reimbursed for the entire heating season – to apply for reimbursement from October onwards, you have until 30 April.
You can find out the provisional amount of compensation by using the Housing Heating Compensation Calculator.
In accordance with the Law on Monetary Social Assistance to Needy Residents of the Republic of Lithuania, eligibility for compensation will be determined by the municipality’s specialists according to the conditions specified.
Please note that the valuation of the property owned is foreseen from 1 September 2023 for applications submitted since 1 September 2023, for more details see here.
SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION
– We encourage you to submit your application quickly and securely via www.spis.lt or by calling 8 700 35545 to book the service via autovideo.
If you submit your application and the necessary documents for reimbursement by email to sis@vilnius.lt, using the e-delivery system at https://epristatymas.lt or to Kauno g. 3, LT-01314, Vilnius – please sign them with a secure electronic signature before sending.

– Missing documents can be sent by e-mail to dokumentai@vilnius.lt or can be left in the box for documents of the Social Benefits Department at the Vilnius City Municipality Customer Service Centre, Konstitucijos Ave. 3 (1st floor).
– Please do not resubmit your application if you have not yet received a decision on your previous application.
