Important information
Child benefits for children of Ukrainian nationals will be extended without separate application
Ukrainian citizens receiving child benefit will not have to submit an additional application for the extension of their child benefit after the extension of their temporary residence permit in Lithuania. The payment of this benefit will be extended on the basis of the data registers if there is information that the person’s (family’s) temporary residence permit in Lithuania has been extended. Beneficiaries will be informed of the extension of payments by e-mail by 15 April.
Benefits will be extended if the following conditions are met:
- declaring a place of residence in Vilnius (this can be done by physically coming to the district office of the place of residence or Konstitucijos pr. 3, Vilnius)
- registering your children in schools in the country.
If the child is a distance learner, a certificate stating that the child/children are distance learners must be submitted to sis@vilnius.lt.
If your child is a distance learner in Ukraine, but you wish to register him/her in a Lithuanian school, you should inform ana.lapajeva@vilnius.lt (the address of the place of residence in Vilnius and the grade in which the child is studying must be indicated).
The procedure for applying for other social benefits remains unchanged, so a new application will be required after the renewal of the temporary residence permit in Lithuania and in order to extend their payment.
